Food places around OC...

Love food? Love good food? Love good seafood? Look no further!

To me, seafood is very underrated. Family seafood establishments usually aren't on most people's radar, considering they think they're too noisy. This one however is the perfect mix of fun, class, family & loudness. (Is that even a word?) The entire wait staff are so incredibly nice, helpful, knowledgeable & genuine. Now that's important to have when you're out to dinner with small kids and a husband. LOL. The atmosphere is what makes it just that much better than any other family seafood restaurants. Dancing, singing, playfulness bring out the smiles in nearly everyone in the place. Having great food is just a plus! We are lucky enough to have a location just down the street from us,  check here to find one by you!
Tonight we started with the crab dip nachos, OH MY WORD, this starter should be illegal, it's that good. Homemade tortilla chips piled high with cabbage, black bean corn relish, pico de gallo, loaded with crab dip, monterey jack & avocado lime dressing. It hit the spot just right for my husband and me.
Next husband ordered the Go Shrimpin', and that he did. It was a giant plate of Jumbo fried shrimp, coconut shrimp and crispy shrimp stuffed with crab, cream cheese and jalapeños. Served with hushpuppies, fries and coleslaw. Of course it came with the proper dipping sauces that complete the meal.

Now it was my turn, I decided to keep it healthy, as can be, and go with a salad. Not your ordinary salad mind you, a crab cake chipotle caesar salad to be exact! It was Romaine lettuce topped with one of our jumbo lump meat crab cakes, black bean corn relish, tortilla strips and chipotle Caesar dressing. The crab cake was huge, the dressing was spectacular and the relish completed it perfectly.
Of course I forgot to take a photo of Big's dinner, Mac&Cheese with corn on the cob, but I did remember to snap one of her pretty rad dessert! She got to color a crab rice crispy treat! How fun huh? It really was too! It came with a strawberry syrup, chocolate sauce & caramel. She said it tasted just as yummy as it looked too.
I was really impressed, after not being here for years, maybe even a decade, it still had it's same quirky charm. In the center of your table is a metal bucket with a roll of paper towels, those are your napkins and the bucket is for all of your trash! The inside is decorated with beach decor, funny signs, mismatched furniture, a giant shark hangs from the high ceiling and there's even a nice patio you can eat on. If you're looking to be treated extra special on your birthday, here is the place. They treat you like royalty let me tell ya! So, if you're ever looking for a family friendly seafood place, this takes the cake, or the crab!

All opinions are that of my own.
